Job Title Community & Events Manager

Community Managers function as advocates. They advocate on behalf of the company to their members by representing the business on a very personal level. They also advocate on behalf of the customer, monitoring conversations and providing feedback to the company.
Connect with Meetup Ambassadors throughout the world
Help meetup ambassadors with venue research, and event coordination
Create engaging topic ideas and agendas for the meetups
Coordinate speakers and help create presentations from our partners to host during meetups
Organizing on-ground event logistics and tracking
Ticket and meetup platform management
Engage our growing community in Twitter, Facebook, Reddit and other social channels
Create content to help promote our community, through blog posts, and social channels
Adding and removing members from the community
Welcoming new members
Establishing community culture
Moderating community content
Providing customer support to community members
Creating strategic content designed to build relationships between members
Introducing community members to each other
Developing and maintaining community guidelines and policies
Hosting online and/or offline events for community members
Education, Skills & Knowledge Requirements
Need to be passionate about the blockchain space.
Outgoing personality with the ability to walk into networking events and be comfortable introducing and presenting yourself to strangers.
Amazing Writing skills Social media experience, specifically using tools like Hootsuite to manage different social media channels in regards to our community.
Manage online discussions by listening and responding to users, where appropriate, in a timely and authentic manner.
This job will require odd hours in order to support our meetup ambassadors timezones and events.
Journalism experience is a plus.
PR Experience is a Plus
1-2 years marketing, advertising or communications experience with emphasis on social media engagement
BA/BS (communication, journalism, marketing or related field preferred)
